BMF hooks three more big fish in the creative department luring Ruben, Clark and Booker
CB exclusive: “In an effort to replace Brad Waggoner, BMF has reeled in some keen fisherman,” jokes Dylan Taylor, executive creative director of BMF Sydney.
Justin Ruben (pictured near left) joins as associate creative director working on a range of accounts including Tooheys.
Over the course of his career Ruben has worked at various agencies both here and abroad. He was most recently at Publicis Mojo Sydney and prior to that BBH New York.
Ruben has created award winning campaigns such as: Peters Drumstick (Summer Rituals), Nike (Stuff History), WaterAid (Blackwater Springs) and Toyota (A car to be proud of).
Copywriter Nigel Clark (above left) is a born and bred Kiwi who started his career at Publicis Mojo, Auckland. He graced the shores of Sydney in 2001-2002 and swore he would return.
In 2007, he made the move to join US Sydney where he has been until making the decision to move to BMF. Since starting, he has managed to bag his fair share of awards working on accounts such as Glassons, Hallensteins, Auckland City Mission, SBS and most recently the illustrious silver at Noise’s Ping-Pong tournament.
Alex Booker (pictured middle) started off his career at LOUD, Sydney in 1999. After that, he freelanced with several agencies before signing on with Young and Rubicam, Sydney where he worked predominantly on Telstra and Foxtel.
In 2005 Booker packed it all in to live in an old ambulance and surf his way through Europe and Northern Africa for a year before settling down in Sweden where he worked for two years, picking up a few tips on Scandinavian design.
Returning to Australia, he took up a full time position at M&C Saatchi where he worked on several award-winning campaigns before moving to BMF as art director at the start of 2011.

That is hilarious.
Well J-Rue, you’re a legend and great creative.
He’s good, but I’m the master Tapper. I want my copy of twilight back please.
Good luck, squire Justin.

Easy on the donuts Booker!
they’re lucky to have Ruben, sharp, humble, funny guy
Nice one J.
Not Booker, BOOKER.
BMF still has a long way to go before they can be considered a serious creative agency. Their body of work thus far seems old, recycled and tired. Lets hope the three fisherman beat some life into the agency.
Is Booker, Booker’s love child.
8:06. Why don’t you put your name to your comment? Gutless knocker. The only thing you’re beating is yourself.
Nigel looks hot…he can sure handle a fush
Forgetting the serious issues for a moment, that’s a great PR shot.
Congratulations on catching the big fish.
I saw what you did there, 9:21. Aren’t the subtle twists and turns of the English language a marvellous thing!
Hey there, June 11 9:33 AM. I assume you work at BMF. Getting so worked up over the previous comment only means there is some truth to it.
