VAILO Adelaide 500 reappoints Showpony as creative agency following a competitive pitch
In 2022 the newly elected Government of South Australia delivered on a key election promise, bringing back the much-loved Adelaide 500 to the streets of Adelaide. It was a huge success and following a competitive creative pitch Showpony has now been reappointed to the account.
“We’re thrilled to be a part of this iconic event”, said Sophie Allchurch, Managing Director of Showpony Adelaide, “We’re excited to deliver this year’s campaign with the VAILO Adelaide 500 marketing team, which we believe will inspire existing fans and help ignite a new generation of motorsport fanatics”.
Andrew Fotheringham, Marketing Manager at the South Australian Motor Sport Board said, “Showpony brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this event. They did an amazing job on the re-launch last year and with their reappointment, we’re looking forward to building on that success over the coming years”.
The 2023 VAILO Adelaide 500 takes over the streets of Adelaide from 23-26 November, with global pop sensation Robbie Williams headlining the event’s After Race Concert Series.
Tickets are now on sale at Ticketek.

Hopefully this year they can engage more south Australians rather than outsource to interstate and overseas cinematographers, VFX artists and post production teams… we have a vast selection of skilled individuals within SA, it was disappointing to see virtually all the roles go to interstate crews.
is it VAILO or VALO? And Nov or Dec?
LED stadium lighting manufacturer VALO has announced that it is to change its name and rebrand to VAILO as part of its expansion internationally.
This was not a competitive pitch. Never went out. No other state operates like SA does. It’s like the 90’s all over again.
