Juicebox takes out Digital Agency of the Year + Wildlings Creative wins Challenger Agency of the Year at the Campaign Brief WA 2023 awards
Digital Agency of the Year and Challenger Agency of the Year are two of the most sought over awards at the Campaign Brief WA Awards. This year there were 14 entries seeking the Digital crown and 11 entries for the Challenger accolade.
Last year was the inaugural year for this Digital Agency of the Year award and it proved to be one of the most popular awards of the night. Campaign Brief received 14 entries this year, and we shortlisted a strong list of 8 finalists. Anthology, Bang Digital, Bonfire, Clue, equ, PWD and Social Meteor were all considered before Juicebox was named 2022 Digital Agency of the Year. Our appreciation goes to Yahoo! for sponsoring this important award.
Over the past few years Juicebox has grown to become a truly solution-agnostic business delivering award-winning websites, innovative tech-driven application projects, and internationally recognised brands and creative campaigns.
The Juicebox philosophy is that the digital world needs to be more human in order to create deeper connections between people and brands. With a digital-first, human mindset, they strive to create digital experiences that influence consumer beliefs and behaviour delivering impact for their clients at scale. 2022 has seen rapid growth internally, with the acquisition of Freeform, a move that has seen the company grow locally to 45 staff This comes with the appointment of Brett Novak as Director of Strategy – bringing the agency’s focus towards holistic, strategy-led engagements that encompass digital experience at their heart.
Juicebox’s past twelve months was its fifteenth successive in terms of growth in annual revenue and staffing, making them one of Perth’s largest agencies.
In 2022 they focussed less on acquisition of new clients, and more on growth within existing client partnerships, leading to an overall increase in client worth.
Juicebox signed 17 new clients, increased staff numbers by 14 and the agency saw a 24% increase in profit margin.
In 2022 Juicebox was successful at the National Australian Web Awards and PADC Awards.
2022/23 saw two smaller agencies quickly level up to become a threat to the bigger players in the Perth market. The combining of Significant Other with Horse & Hound has created an agency of 11 people with 32 clients and a new business success rate of 66%.
With genuine creative pedigree, and a highly regarded team of account directors, Wildlings quickly burst onto the scene, albeit a little prematurely – with their half-finished website mysteriously racked up over 800,000 impressions in a week.
Wildlings then quietly amassed a series of new business wins in the form of Satterley, Curtin University (retiring Murdoch University) and Pentanet. While at the same time growing their existing relationships with Plico, APM, Department of Road Safety and Seven West Media.
Importantly, at these Campaign Brief WA Creative Awards the agency won 2 Best of Year Awards for Anglicare WA ‘Friend in Need’ App in the Radio Advertisement and Radio Campaign categories. They were also finalists in the TV Commercial and Online Video categories for World of Eíco ClothingPlease.Com ‘Breathe’.
Finalists for Challenger Agency of the Year were Ad Social, Coffey & Tea, DISTL, Hypnosis Creative Agency and Nani.
